The Technical College of Management / Mosul is one of the formations of the Northern Technical University of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Technical College of Management/ Mosul was established in 2007 to keep abreast of the scientific and technological developments and modern scientific trends and aspects of its application.
Departments of the College:
The college includes four scientific departments:
1. The Department of Accounting Techniques, which is recently created in the academic year 2022-2023 with the efforts and follow-up of the respected President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the respected Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Samir Taha Yassin.
2. Department of Business Administration Techniques.
3. Department of Electronic Management Techniques.
4. Department of Statistics and Informatics Techniques.
The college aims to prepare technical staff in line with contemporary trends in the field of business administration, electronic management, statistics, informatics and accounting within the framework of integration between theoretical and applied frameworks to secure highly efficient technical outputs in managing activities in the public and private sectors using modern techniques and methods, electronic programs and statistical applications.
Job’s description for college graduates:
The college grants a bachelor’s degree in technical management sciences. The duration of study is four academic years, during which the student receives theoretical aspects as well as practical applications. The student passes two training stages in government departments and institutions for a month in the second and third stages.
The graduate of Business Administration Techniques is awarded the title of ( Associate Observer ).
The graduate of electronic management techniques is granted the title of ( IT Assistant Technician ).
The graduate of Statistics and Information Techniques is granted the title of ( Technical Statistical Associate).
The graduate of Accounting Techniques is granted the title of (Assistant Accountant).
Admission Interventions in the College’s Departments for both morning and evening Studies:
The college accepts graduates of Preparatory schools for both (the scientific) as well as for (the applied) branches and graduates of (the literary) branch. They are accepted in the departments of business administration and accounting techniques
Also graduates of Preparatory schools for the applied and scientific branches are accepted in the departments of electronic management techniques and statistics and informatics techniques.
College postgraduate studies:
In addition to the four departments mentioned, the college has been providing since 2019 an ambitious scientific plan in the field of graduate studies and its specialized departments
It grants its students a technical master's degree in their field of specialization
The college includes a master's study and a higher diploma in the Department of Business Administration Techniques, as well as a higher diploma in the Department of Electronic Management Techniques.
The Technical College of Management/ Mosul is now in the process of developing a Ph.D. study in the Department of Business Administration Techniques.

The department is considered as the most recent in its designation and curricula compared to other departments in other corresponding colleges in Iraq and the Arab world. The curricula and vocabulary of this department are characterized according to a specialized character in the second stage which is focusing on the entrances to electronic administration and its divisions. Also it focuses on: the basics of information technologies and systems, database design and how to manage them, design of electronic rules systems, analysis and software engineering. In addition, this department seeks to enhance students’ knowledge of contemporary administrative approaches including: knowledge management, total quality management, innovation and creativity management, digital and virtual organizations. The students, in the second and third stages, must pass two training stages in governmental departments for a period of one month. Also the students in the fourth stage are requested to accomplish and to present a graduation project according to the accurate specialization.
The department of Business Administration Techniques aims to prepare technical staff which is capable to work in all business sectors and within the administrative fields. Therefore they can manage the operations in industrial and service companies at an advanced level of qualification in line with the rapid developments such as design and manufacturing using computers, high-ranking manufacturing, efficient production and production on time, as well as systems and entrances total quality with all its characteristics and ranks. The students also study specialized topics: accounting (administrative, costs), administrative readings, statistics, and electronic calculator applications. The graduate of this department qualifies to work as a specialist in all administrative and accounting affairs, in particular as a specialist in the management of production operations and the practice of related activities, as well as having the ability to use computer-ready applications in the field of management and production. The students, in the second and third stages, must pass two training stages in governmental departments for a period of one month. Also the students are requested to fulfill a graduation project according to the exact specialization and submitted in the fourth stage.
The Department of Statistics and Informatics Techniques has been created in the academic year 2020-2021 at Technical College of Management – Mosul. It is the third department in the college after the departments of Business Administration Techniques and Electronic Management Techniques. The curricula and courses of the Statistics and Informatics Techniques Department has characterized as specialized statistical and mathematical character across the four academic stages, in addition to the techniques that will be provided to the student, and these techniques are represented by modern programs used in statistical analysis.
The Accounting Department was created for the academic year 2022-2023 in the Administrative Technical College - Mosul, and it is the fourth department in the college after the departments (business management techniques, electronic management techniques, statistics and informatics techniques). The curricula and courses of the Accounting Techniques Department have a specialized accounting and applied character across the four academic stages, in addition to the techniques that are provided to the student, which are the programs, techniques and methods used in accounting and auditing.
